My internship began in
1985. At that time my focus of study and treatment was limited to those
suffering from Anxiety, Panic, Phobias and Obsessive Compulsive
Disorder.
Almost two decades have
gone by since then and I have been fortunate enough to be able to
continue my education and expand my level of clinical expertise.
Today I am in Private
Practice and licensed to treat Individuals, Couples and Adolescents
with interpersonal problems and complex clinical disorders.
Although I am
very proud of the Graduate Degree I have earned from Valparaiso
University, there was even more to learn beyond the classroom.
Fortunate again, I
have enjoyed the privilege of being trained, supervised and encouraged
by dedicated Psychologists, Psychiatrists and other Licensed
Professionals throughout my career. These people have
taught me that it is just not what you say, but how you say it and when
you say it.
I've come
to believe that an effective therapist is not only a
passionate student of human behavior but is also a developed
ethical and compassionate artist with honed skills of listening,
understanding and communicating knowledge.
I am proud to own that
kind of reputation as a therapist, and I thank my clients and
colleagues that have made that possible.
